Review of Skeleton Wolf - "Skeleton Wolf"

OVERTLY OBSCURE

By: Geoff Teach

Precious little information exists to be found about the Indiana thrash trio known as Skeleton Wolf, and I get the feeling that that's just the way the band wants it. However, I also get the feeling as soon as their self-titled debut full-length hits the streets on June 10th, 2016, that this wholly unknown act will not remain unknown much longer.

Impressive, aggressive, and catchy as hell, Skeleton Wolf's independent debut is truly a standout release. Short on tracks but long on killer compositions, Skeleton Wolf is about as awesome as an introductory album can get; it's well-written, well-produced, and comprehensively crushing. Every single track is strong and memorable, with riffs and choruses that stay in your head long after you've stopped listening.

Some of the best offerings out of the seven that comprise Skeleton Wolf's self-titled release include "At The Sixth Foot", "M.P.F.F." (which stands for "Metal, Punk, Fight, Fuck"), the deliciously blackened "Eternal Lies", the first single "She's Insane", and the closer (and my personal favorite) "Forever Awake". All things considered, Skeleton Wolf is a damn fine debut, no doubt about it. Be sure to order a copy of your own on June 10th!

The release of the first single, "She's Insane", off of Skeleton Wolf was exclusive to MetalUnderground.com. Click here to view the article and listen to the new track! \m/
